About the Winter Color Guard:

As soon as the Wildcat Entertainment Corps completes their fall season the winter guard begins preparing for their competitive indoor season.  The team develop skills in performing to music, including spinning flags, rifles, and sabres.  In addition to these equipment-handling skills, members also learn techniques in advanced movement, and dance.  The BOHS Winter Color Guard are the 2005, 2007, and 2008 Orange County Champions.

December 29 - Winter Break Practice, 1-5
Frebruary 5 - Friday Practice #1, 4-7 (Attendance Required)
February 6 - WGASC Debut Show @ Roosevelt HS (Corona-Norco)
Feberuary 20 - WGASC OC Invitational @ Marina HS
February 27 - WGASC West Ranch HS
March 12 - Friday Practice #2, 4-7 (Attendance Required)
March 13 - WGASC Mira Mesa HS
March 27 - WGASC Tesoro HS
April 7 - Spring Break Practice, 1-3
April 16 - Friday Practice #3, 4-7 (Attendance Required)
April 17 - WGASC Championship @ TBA


Information for Students and Parents:

Rehearsals for the Winter Color Guard will take place every Monday from 3:00-5:00 and every Tuesday for 4:00-6:30.  Attendance at all rehearsals is required for participation in the program.  If a student is unable to make a rehearsal the student or parent must notify Mr. Bartell or Rachel Neilson via phone call or email to be excused from that rehearsal.  Students who fail to notify the Director or Guard Instructor will have their grade docked with the possibility of being removed from all or part of the show.  This decision will be left up to the discretion of the Director and the Guard Instructor.
